MSNBC is going back to segregation. Democrats need to elevate more women of color. They will save our sacred democracy: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/women-will-save-our-democracy

Well, there won't be one if we all just give up. I'm assuming we will have one. We'll need to fight election tampering and voter suppression. That's the focus, now.

Exactly. Giving up is not an option

You are a fucking idiot... Reid was replaced with Steele, who is very very black,,, Wake the fuck up. Reid was a plastic skin creame model teleprompter reader

Wtf???? No. Not true. Are you high on ketamine (sorry don't know the cool name for it)? I think you might be cause we tend to try and not disrespect one another here, if so, you may trigger a hot, though understandable reaction. But dude, that is beyond disrespectful to Joy Reid. She has so much respect by pretty much all of us (on substack) here. Not many mainstream media reporters have that. She was real though. True to herself and it showed. So your comment is pretty crass. DEI is so incredibly important to people who have a pulse that like to think that they want better for others as for themselves and the rest of our nation. White men who are insecure with who they are should look inward when they see equality for others as unfairness towards them. So, saying 1 black guy is replacing Joy Reid is great ЁЯСН, problem solved, why is everyone crying? It's so much more than that.

Who was Alex Wagner replaced with? Who was Katie Phang replaced with? How about Ayman Mohyeldin? NONE of these people are being replaced with people of color.

NOT.

However, I like Michael Steele. I like Lawrence OтАЩDonnell. HeтАЩs my favorite -and I still like Rachel Maddow. It may be one of the last main stream stations that lean truthful and left -before they completely destroy that. I understand they are owned by Comcast and Trump started getting his DEI initiatives into Comcast and wanted to see if Comcast was following it - right after that Comcast kissed the ring (cowards) and MSNBC commentators were collateral damage -people of color. I canтАЩt blame any of the MSNBC commentators white, or of color for whathappened.

Us, too. Turned off what we thought had been a lifeline, but was just another oligarch-owned and controlled media vehicle for profits. We all felt so betrayed by our friends, families, neighbors, after the election. MSNBC, CNN, WaPo, TNYT, all used to be our go-to's, but not anymore. Looking to Substack now, with podcasts. I am sure Maddow will eventually jump ship, and MSNBC will slip beneath the waves.

I donтАЩt want Rachel Maddow to walk anywhere. We need her there. IтАЩm sure Dumpty will have sights on her soon -for removing her because she speaks truth, facts, and evidence.

Not sure if she can based on whatever her contract says but they just let all of her staff go, so we'll see if that helps her decision.
