The nepo nazi as potus is unthinkable but Daddy Dumbass was too

Last November, the world watched as America cut off its own head and shoved it up its own ass.

And even then, we were all forced to wonder just how much dumber and grosser things could still get. Until Friday. That’s when we learned that dumb and gross are just getting warmed up.

The news outlet Mediaite reported Friday afternoon that Dirty Don Jr. is thinking about running for president in 2028. Excuse us while we blow chunks.

The good news is that Junior denied the report, going as far as to cuss out Mediaite and remind everyone what a soulless dickhead creep he is.

“I accurately predicted that my buddy JD would be an instant power player in national GOP politics, so your theory is that I worked my ass off to help get him the VP nomination because I want to run for president in 2028?” Junior said in a trashy and poorly written statement. “Are you fucking retarded? I’m actually glad you’re printing this bullshit though because at least now the rest of the press corps will see how shitty your ‘sources’ are and how easily you’re played by them. Congrats, moron.”

A real charmer, ain’t he, folks? His mom was buried on a goddamn golf course and she’s still probably happy as hell to be far away from that chode.  

Maybe it’s good news that the Trump family is at least pretending there will be more elections in this country. And maybe it’s good news that our opposition would be an apparently coked up weirdo who clearly inherited his pop’s intellect. But to be honest we’re pretty terrified of the kinds of choices Americans are making these days so that’s of little comfort. That’s even more true when you start to ponder what will be left of America during the next election.

But what makes this all so fucking terrifying is that we just can’t rule anything out anymore. If his dumbshit dad can get elected with Russian help, beat two impeachments and 34 felony convictions, attack the fucking Capitol and injure more than 140 cops, scream like an idiot about people eating cats and dogs AND STILL GET FUCKING ELECTED then who the hell knows how idiotic things can get?

This is why it’s so vital that our leaders change their strategy when it comes to Trump.

We were damn proud to see Congressman Al Green stand up to Trump at the fake State of the Union this week. And while the signs and dress codes weren’t perfect protests, at least they were some acknowledgment that people are freaked the eff out and looking for some action from the people who represent them.

So it was pretty disappointing to see that Democratic leaders condemned those efforts, with some Democratic senators even going on the record to try and sound like they were above the kind of protest Green and others engaged in. 

Let’s leave aside for a second it’s pretty damn gross to see white people telling a Black man when and where he is supposed to protest a racist. But what message are the leaders trying to send to the rest of us? Should we stop protesting? Should we stop speaking up? Should we stop sending money?

Oh did that last one get their attention?

We are becoming a broken record on this, but the Democratic Party needs to embrace its fighters; not attack them. There are no fights that can be ignored. They are all important. Every one of these battles is over something Trump and Elon Musk are doing to lead us to fascism. We can’t sit out any of them.

So as much as it sucks, we need to take Junior seriously. We have to take all of it seriously. We need to push back on everything. We can’t take off any plays, and we have to stop electing politicians who think politics is beneath them. 

And who knows? Maybe if we’re lucky, America will recoil at the idea of a rich nepo baby trying to inherit the Oval Office while his daddy fires military veterans so he can give Elon another tax break. Maybe.
