Why Queen Bey Harris/Allred rally is huge
Cultural icon Beyoncé's Houston event with Harris and U.S. Senate hopeful Colin Allred will reverberate nationally.
Millions of fans of cultural icon Beyoncé will no doubt take notice of today’s breaking news that their beloved singer-songwriter will campaign with Kamala Harris in her hometown of Houston. Beyoncé’s hit “Freedom”, already legendary, is a staple at Harris events.
No singer in history has more Grammys than Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, known simply by her first name, an homage to her status worldwide.
As noted by Variety:
Beyoncé has broken the record for the most Grammy wins of all time, with 32, after earning four awards from the Recording Academy in the 2023 proceedings. The award that put her over the top was a win for best dance/electronic album for “Renaissance.”
The rally is sure to rankle JD Vance, particularly given her “Single Ladies” and “Independent Women” hits. Republicans have exposed their political incompetence and cultural obliviousness by demeaning “Beyoncé voters.” Republicans are idiots.
Republicans will at least privately bellyache about the this rally in every close race across the country given the size and passion of BeyHive members everywhere. While pundits don’t consider Texas to be a top-tier presidential battleground state, Democrats have gained ground in recent cycles, with the Houston metro leading the way in that shift.
Democratic Congressman Colin Allred has proven himself as a formidable challenger against the nauseating Ted “Cancun” Cruz, whose trip to the popular Mexican holiday destination during the state’s winter storm and subsequent power blackout demonstrated how much he cares about his constituents.
Harris, who has prioritized down-ballot races to the tune of $25 million, previously announced the rally in support of Allred before the Beyoncé appearance was announced. For all who are able to make it: Get your ticket for Friday’s event here.
