I am still baffled by it: worst VP pick in history. You're supposed to use your pick to expand your base, not shrink it.
I imagine everybody in Trump's campaign told him to pick NIkki Haley but he was still stung that she got 20% of the votes as a write-in, and he ignored them.
Metrosexual, sofasexual…who can tell? Obviously, not JD. I think the best thing I read today was that JD Vance (reminder: This is his FOURTH name change. Does he even remember what his current name is?) didn’t grow up in the hollers of Appalachia as you might assume from his grievance-tome, Hillbilly Elegy. Nope; he grew up in a suburb of Cincinnati! No shit. What a fucking loser. Plenty of people have to overcome the nastiness of growing up with dysfunctional parents—like my wife!—and have come out on the other side confident, compassionate, and able to leave that all that shit behind. Not JD, though. It’s obvious he’s driven by the unresolved grievance of his childhood…um, kinda like his boss. We all deal with a ton of crap in our lives; I get that, and I’m sympathetic. But when you bring it onto the national stage, then you’re asking us all to buy into your own unresolved grievances.
Guess he can write Hillbilly Effigy soon. He’ll be a has been and quit Congress and his wife will go back to working at the prestigious law firm while grifting off Peter Thiel.
