Love to hear that Raskin will head the Judiciary. Thanks for your great work.

And then the Democrats in the Senate elected the same crew of 1940 French Generals to keep losing elections. When Trump proclaims he's using the Insurrection Act, Wall Street Charlie Schumer and Dickhead Durbin will run the whole way from the Capitol to the White House to negotiate how complete the martial law will be. And they'll be sure to take a nice cheese plate with them.

DC politicians should have the same age restrictions that airline pilots do; their decisions affect lots more people (said as an old guy myself).

Really strange times when David Frum has become too radical for Joe and Mika.

All I can say about the Welker/Trump “interview” is a) I would rather gouge my eyeballs out with a rusty grapefruit spoon then watch that.

Joe and Mika don't appear "civil"--from where I sit they appear to be scared crapless of Trump. This is not a good look for so-called newspeople. They have just made themselves worse than useless.

Please tell me everyone reading this has not only unsubscribed from the WaPo, is not buying anything from Amazon, and has canceled their prime memberships. .

Please. Amazon is the only place that sells all the books they order - unlike fucking B&N and most under-capitalized "independent bookstores" who finance their operations on credit for returns - the money for which comes out of the author's royalties, so the bastards are financing their "bookstore" by screwing the people who produce what they sell. That's much worse than anything Amazon does. Oh, and Amazon pays in full, on time, for sales.

Kindly take your self-righteous lib'rul ass over there and fuck off. And when you're done, go fuck off over there, and then over there, and then fuck yourself all the way off the damn cliff, asshole.

Sounding for all the world like an Amazon mid-level or higher. There aren’t many these days who would defend anything Amazon does. Pat yourself on the back, i suppose?

The guy who blew away the corporate scumbag insurance pig deserves a fucking medal. It should happen to more of these pinstriped pimps, make them afraid to walk out their front door.

Read the whole thing about that pig's decision on anesthesia and you'll see I'm right.

This has been ‘healthcare’ corporations' MO forever. Had a friend running a huge regional claims office. Clerks were literally trained to deny deny deny because, even though entitled to the coverage, the corporations know many will give up & walk away. For profit healthcare is a huge conflict of interest with humans’ best interests. We have tried to tell people but the RW does such a good job of scaring them about “national healthcare” like most other countries have.

I live in a place with socialized medicine (not “free healthcare”). The “choice” in the corporate for-profit model is a myth, there’s no choice when nothing is affordable. I’m comfortable paying for it thru goods and services taxes. Taxes are inevitable anyway…

Btw remember the ACA debate and the repubs imaginary death panels?

Hahaha now it’s Project 2025 and the repubs death panels are real ⚫️

Cyn B,

I have a close friend living in Canada. He will die soon based entirely upon the many failures of their healthcare system. Months to get tested, months to get an appointment for results, repeat, rinse, repeat.

I discovered his actual illness, Lyme disease, after his doctor claimed his problem was a spider bite. It took over 18 months and now is too late. He is down to 90 pounds after surgery which removed his small intestine and most of his stomach. Two years ago he was the picture of health. Now he has long term Lyme disease.

National healthcare SUCKS.

I am so grateful for TBS authors Adam and Sam. Once I get my cc bills all paid up, Substack writers like them will all get paid subscriptions from me. We need these authors to keep us informed and sane!

Welker is really terrible. I just can’t watch anything she does. I thought chuck Todd was done. Another guy full of himself and obsolete. Also , something wrong with what Mika did. Why would anyone want to go on their show if she is going to apologize for what a guest said?
