They're intentional deconstruction of the government computer systems gives them plausible deniability in the name of ' waste, fraud & abuse' if a foreign actor gets into the system and does something like stealing Social Security, wiping out peoples work history etc.... With the lack of interest in fending off Russian cyberwarfare and such they are opening the gates assisting anyone to come in and finish off destroying the government that they will not. The plant burned to the ground recently (oops, sorry about the toxic fumes all our poisonous manufacturing chemicals released into the air--just keep holding your breath for a while). This very old business, that started out making railroad switches, was taken over twice by bigger companies. One of those companies disbanded the fire fighting squad composed of volunteers from the workforce. And the fire suppression system was offline, being repaired. Seems that there were multiple fires in the plant over the years that the neighbors knew nothing about in this densely populated suburban neighborhood. Anyway, those specialty fasteners might have been useful if you're planning to put together a spacecraft sturdy enough to make it to Mars. Maybe there's a reason for government safety oversight of manufacturing plants?? Seems like somebody's going to get a big tax right off, and the community loses a bunch of jobs and is stuck with a toxic waste pile. And the nearly 70+ volunteer fire companies that battled the blaze for days are now asking the community for donations to recoup lost equipment. Seems like the company should foot that bill, the one that disbanded the internal fire fighting team. Hmm, see a theme here? Big Business cuts corners, makes money for investors, walks away from problems, disposes of employees, and gets a tax write off.

I don't think I'm the only person having these troubles sleeping. Ugh.
