Trump has gone where no one dares. Truly he doesn’t know what he is doing.

From my school days a long time ago.

“Fools go where angels fear to tread.”

We will be a long time getting over this economic blunder. This is Trump’s legacy.

And the other things this man has did. Throwing good people out of work. Costing lives in the Covid pandemic. They will never forget this man.

It’s “fools rush in” — which more accurately describes Trump’s modus operandi.

This is the most ridiculous Drumph regime I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. He is so dangerous it worries me.

Btw, excellent graphic Jimmy Kimmel what a great likeness lol!

I suspect he and his sycophants made a lot of money, first shorting or getting out, then buying before his big announcement about the pause. Everything is transactional with him.

A classic mobster pump-and-dump scheme, one of at least 25 by Trump in the last ten years alone

Besides the fact that the Orange regime leader loves thinking he is so special - just look what he can do to the markets. It only takes his words or his 'sharpie'. He thinks it makes him look good to be 'so powerful', not realizing that most of the US and probably 90% of his own people think he's a disgusting disgrace. But as long as they profit from it, they will say just what he wants to hear.

The problem with Trump's approach to tariffs isn't so much the tariffs. As it turns out, impose a counter-tariff and Trump folds like a cheap suit. The problem is that Trump is convincing our trade partners to consider alternative partners less likely to go on ego trips and pull stupid stunts. Russia and Ukraine have already taken over the world wheat trade, and the US now imports food. US agricultural products are much less important now. Why rely on the US for wheat when there are other suppliers who aren't playing stupid games in hope of winning stupid prizes.

If Trump wanted to do something about China's mercantile approach to trade, he'd have done much better to focus on China and build a trade and tariff coalition that would fight Chinese market takeovers. China wants every manufacturing job in the world, not just American ones. Indonesia's garment business is collapsing. We could have be working with Indonesia rather than against them. If you are going to fight a war, it helps to have a goal to tell if you are winning or losing.

He does what he’s told to do - but he and family and those in the know are all making big bucks manipulating the market.

Pretty funny. I was just noticing that Trump needs a haircut (neck shave) -- but the falling market makes a good "manly pony," with a little flip as it bounced back this afternoon.

I subscribed as soon as I read your request, Adam! I watched the 'Mary Trump and the Nerds' program on Tuesday (and you were in attendance without your hat for a change), and I thought again how bright I've always thought you were, so I started to search for your name on Substack, but I had the spelling wayyy wrong! So this little bit of serendipity (your playing Jimmy Kimmel's video of Trump the Dump) was perfect for me, as I loved it all, and am so happy I found you, too on Substack! I'll be following you and your friend Sam as often as you write your pieces. (P.S. Did I get 'Sam's name right?). I hope it's at least weekly. I'm happy to have found you (or that you found me...lol). See you on the Nerds podcast or here. Wishing you a great day! :) btw my name is Maddy Anderson.
